An awareness programme on Crime Prevention Month 2021 was organised by the NSS Units and Ladies Forum of our college in collaboration with Gol Gumbaz Police Station, Vijayapur on 23rd December 2021. Shri Sitaram Lamani- Police Sub Inspector (PSI) of Golgumbaz Police Station Vijayapur who was the Chief Guest spoke at length on the different crimes taking place in the society both physical and online.
He opined the cybercrime involves cell phones, computers, and the network. Threatening, online transactions, random friends’ requests, updating KYC messages, online customer care services are some of the examples.
A unified Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) is implemented in Karnataka which provides 112 emergency services in a fast and efficient ways. Each vehicle allotted will have ASI, Head Constable, Constable and Woman Police Constable. ERSS tracks the location of the victims and provide immediate assistance within 15-17 minutes.
He also pointed out the significance of the use of helmet by all 2-wheeler users as well as the pillion riders. Wearing helmet is effective in reducing head injuries, it protects one’s life.
Prof. Sayed Wajid Peerzade, IQAC Co-ordinator welcomed the gathering and introduced the creditable guest Shri. Sitaram Lamani.

The function was hosted by Mr. Zayeem Inamdar BA III Sem, Mr. Aqeeb Shaikh BA III Sem initiated the programme by reciting few verses of the Holy Quran. The Crime Prevention Awareness Programme concluded by singing of the National Anthem.
