2.3.2 – Teachers use ICT enabled tools for effective teaching-learning process

Today, it is essential for the students to learn and master the latest technologies in order to be corporate ready. As a consequence, teachers are combining technology with traditional mode of instruction to engage students in long term learning. College uses Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education to support, enhance, and optimize the delivery of education.

The following tools are used by the Institute ICT Tools:

The institution is equipped with 7 Projectors, 4 smart boards installed at different classroom and seminar hall, desktops and laptops are arrainged at Computer lab and faculty cabins. There are three digital seminar halls. Digital content is access by the student through MOOC platform (Swam Prabha, E-Gyankosh, EPG Pathshala etc.). The faculty and the students can access E-Content in the college library with Inflibnet resource. Online classes are conducted through ZOOM, Google Platforms.

Faculties are encouraged to use PowerPoint presentations by using LCDs and Projectors, Online search engines and websites to prepare for effective presentations. The faculties are recorded their video lectures and uploaded on YouTube platform for which the link is sent to students. Seminar halls and auditorium are digitally equipped where guest lectures, competitions and student interaction take place.

ALUMNI/PARENTS MEET

Alumni/ parents committee of Anjuman, Arts, science and commerce college and P.G.Studies in English, Vijaypur has organised Alumni/Parents meeting on Saturday that is on 26 Feb 2022 at college campus.Where, Prof.M.A.Peeran, chairman of this committee has welcomed and introduced to invitees and also explained the Aims and Objectives of this Association. Further, highlighted the role of alumni in development of institution.Dr.A.N.Chatterki, principal and President of this meeting told about college development in few years.Invitees had presented their views about college.Prof.Shabbir mujawar initiated the meeting with the recitation of holy Quran. prof.Gous pitali hosted the program. District Level Youth Parliament

NSS volunteers Miss Afreen Kazi and Miss Faranaaz Sangapur of our college grabbed the 1st and 2nd prize respectively at the District Level Youth Parliament for Gulbarga Cluster region dated 19th February 2022 held at NYK office Gulbarga under the guidance of NSS Program Officer Dr Ruqqia Hashmi. Both volunteers will be representing for the State Level Youth Parliament. Kudos to the winners.

Certificate Course on “Basic Data Analysis using R – Programming”

          Department of Statistics of Anjuman Arts, Science, Commerce College and P.G. Studies in English, Vijayapur organised Certificate Courseon “Basic Data Analysis using R – Programming” for B. Sc. I  Semester students.

To initiate the programme Miss Mustafa recited some verses of holy Quran. Prof. Smt. S. M. Hanchinal HOD of statistics, welcomed & introduced the guests.  Dr. A. N. Chatarki , Principal and President of  the Inaugural function appreciated efforts of the team that organised Certificate Course & address the participants about the importance of certificate courses  & data analysis in the field of research. Resource Person Raj Ahmad Jumanl HOD of Computer Science,   explained about the importance of R- Programming in data analysis. Inaugural session was concluded with vote of thanks by Programme convenor, Mr. Usman  Solkar.

Course was conducted from 5th feb 2022 to 20th feb 2022( daily two hours) Students learned application of basic statistical concepts using R-Studio They have studied computation of Mean, Medan and mode, graphical and diagrammatic representation, Basic Probability distributions  i e. Plotting  binomial, Poisson and Normal distributions  and simple mathematical operations using R.  

20 Students participated in this Certificate Course.  The Course was ended with formal Valedictory function with great successful.

Nehru Yuva Kendra Vijayapur organised District Youth Convention at BLDEA’s V P Dr PG Halakatti College of Engineering & TechnologyCollege in Bijapur, on 4th February 2022 where Miss Rizwana Jamadar was felicitated along with NSS Program Officer Dr Ruqqia Hashmi.

126th Birth anniversary of Jnanpith Awardee Dr. Da Ra Bendre

Department of Kannada has celebrated the 126th Birth anniversary of a renowned scholar and poet, Jnanpith Awardee Dr.Da Ra Bendre. Dr. Ballari Retired Prof of Kannada delivered a special talk on the Life and Literary Contribution of Dr.Bendre. Prof Wajid Peerzade IQAC Coordinator of our college also expressed his views. The function was presided over by Dr.A.N Chattarki Principal of our College. The program was inaugurated with the Recitation of the Holy Quran. Prof Shameed Walikar welcomed and introduced chief guests, Miss Sneha hosted the function other faculty members like Prof.Saddamhusain Mujawar and Prof.N. H. Jainapur were attended.
