“Participated in the Zonal Youth Festival”

In the 2 days Zonal Youth Festival which was organised by Rani Channamma University, Belgavi Students Welfare Section and BVVS-Shri.Sahayadri Arts,Commerce and Science  College,  Vijayapur  on 24th and 25th Feb 2019, 17 NSS Volunteers actively participated in various cultural and literary activities.

A  Skit on the topic “NIRBHAYA” bagged second prize that was performed by Miss.Shehnaz Sayyed in the lead role and Miss.Hazara, Miss Rashmi,Km.Abubakr, Km.Furqan, Km.Muzammil played the supporting role. Another event-Mime on “UNITY”, was performed by 5 Volunteers; Km.Atiq-ur-Rehman, Km.Aman, Km.Furqan, Km.Hassan, KmSadiq. All the participants were highly appreciated for their performances.

 

NSS Programme Officer Dr. Ruqqia accompanied the Volunteers.

The department of Arabic conducted a guest lecture on 25-02-2019 and our guest Hafiz Muhammad Abu Bakar Ashrafi rtd Arabic professor of Anjuman Degree College – Vijayapur delivered a speech on _” Phoetic Arabic Poetry in India”_ comprehending all aspects of the poetry.

The department of Arabic has conducted a 30 days certificate course from 25-01-2019 to 23-02-2019 of spoken Arabic and moral education where 15 students had been enrolled and successfully completed the course. And certificate distribution ceremony had also been held. And certificates distributed to the students.

Of History and Archaeology,  attended and presented a research paper entitled, “Khwaja Bandanawaz Gesudaraz and Mahmood Gawan; the Great Literati of the Bahmani Deccan”, at the International Seminar, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, on 22 February 2019.

Department of Statistics organised one day industrial visit as a part of study to Etco-Denim Pvt. Ltd. on 15/02/2019. The Staff of the company explained about how the jeans cloth material is manufactured and   transported. Further, he gave information about qualityc assurance and sampling section. 20 students along with HOD of Statistics Prof Smt S.M Hanchanal visited the Denim -Etco industry.

 “A Guest Lecturer on Indian Democracy: Challenges & Solutions”

            A Guest lecture was organized on 15th February 2019 by Department of Political Science.  Prof.M D Balaganur Principal of Anjuman PU College Sindgi was the chief guest of the function.

            Prof.M D Balaganur highlighted the importance of the challenges facing the Indian democracy such as corruption, communism, anti-secularism actions at present situation  and its solutions.  Prof.Sayyed Wajid Peerzade Director IQAC stressed about the Indian constitution, he said our constitution is in danger so it is our responsibility to protect it from the communal forces. Dr. A B Shaikh Vice Principal of the College presided over the function. Prof.MahammadGous Pitali gave welcome and introduction of the chief guest. Prof.Saddam Mujawar proposed a vote of thanks.

Staff and students of the college attended the function.
