On November 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM, the Department of Political Science organized a program in the Smart Room to celebrate the 75th National Constitution Day. During the event, attendees took the oath of the Preamble of the Constitution.
Prof. M. A. Peeran addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of individual rights and duties of every citizen of India. Dr. Saleem M. Desai spoke about the core values of the Indian Constitution and stressed that every citizen should be knowledgeable about it. Dr. M. G. Ghodesawar, the Principal and President of the event, highlighted the significance of understanding constitutional rights.
The program began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a prize distribution ceremony for the Essay Competition, Drawing Competition, Debate Competition, and Ghar Ghar Constitution Awareness Campaign,. Dr. Mahammadgous Pitali, HOD of the department, welcomed and introduced the dignitaries. Other faculty members were also present.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof. B. S. Patil, a staff member of the department, and the National Anthem was sung to end the program.
