NSS ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-2020

 Our college has two NSS Units, Unit I is headed by Dr.S.J.Jahagirdar and Unit II is headed by D Smt. Ruqqia.R.H.  The NSS Units have conducted many activities inside and outside the college campus.  The activities started in the month of June 2019 with the celebration of World Environment Day 2019 followed by various other activities like Celebration of World Yoga Day on 21st June 2019, enrolment of volunteers, etc. 

       The routine programmes consists of Orientation programme, Celebration of days like Yoga Day, Teachers day, Literacy day, Gandhi Jayanthi, NSS day, Sadbhavana Diwas, Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, Independence Day, Republic Day  and other Special activities, like Special Camp, visits to slum areas, awareness  on health and hygiene, etc. 

           Km.Sameer Mandroop, who attended STATE REPUBLIC DAY PARADE on 26th January 2019, was felicitated by NSS Cell RCUB on 4th October 2019 on the eve of NSS Golden Jubilee Celebrations at RCUB. 

                Our volunteers collected donation of Rs/-4000 only towards flood relief on 29th August 2019

           On the celebration of NSS Foundation on September 24th 2019, Blood Grouping Camp was organised in which 107- Male Volunteers and 105 Female Volunteers participated. 

Essay & Drawing Competition was organised by ASI Vijayapur under the auspices of Swachch Bharat Pakwada on 19th September 2019 at Golgumbaz campus. Km.Mohammadziya. Aralimatti of B.A 3rd sem received 3rd price in Essay competition.

                Two volunteers Km. Shoyeb Akhtar Korti B.Sc 5th sem and Km. Abid Bagwan B.Sc 3rd sem participated in the quiz competition on the topic “Environment and water protection” organized by All India Radio Vijayapur on dated 30/11/2019

Hutatma Diwas was celebrated on 30th January 2020 in the college campus. Red Ribbon Club organized Quiz Competition on HIV/ AIDS in which Km. Abid Bagwan & Km.HassanPatel. Badeghar participated & Km. Km.HassanPatel Badeghar secured 2nd prize.

On 4th February 2020, an Eye Check-up camp was organised in which 238 no of students, staff, people from surrounding areas benefitted.

On 5th February 2020, Dr.Ruqqia.R.H, NSS PO participated in 1 day training on “Enhancing Knowledge & Skills of NSS Program Officers to educate community on Prevention & Control on common cancers at RCUB in association with Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) Mangalore.

Blood donation camp in collaboration with District Hospital Vijayapur was organised on 12th February 2020 in which 12 Male volunteers  & 4 Female volunteers donated their blood.

Special camp was conducted from 27th February 2020 to 4th march 2020 at Dr.B.D.Jatti, College of Education, Afzalpur Takke,Vijayapur.

On 9th June 2020 saplings were planted in the college campus to mark the World Environment Day and Masks were distributed to the staff, students and the public in general to prevent themselves from COVID19.

On 21st June 2020, World Yoga Day was celebrated.

NSS SPECIAL CAMP (Unit I/II) (27-02-2020 to 04-03-2020)

On the first day of NSS SPECIAL CAMP(Inauguration) the NSS volunteers gathered at Anjuman College campus at 6:30 a.m. and necessary equipments of the Camp loaded on the bus by NSS volunteers and there were two trips made to take NSS volunteers boys and girls separately.

Authorities of Dr B.D. Jatti College of Education welcomed the NSS programme officers and volunteers and permitted the use of their College campus for NSS special camp.

Later we all went to socio-economic health survey in the surrounding areas and came to know the economic and health conditions of the people.

After returning from survey, Lunch was distributed among all.  After lunch, the nssspecial camp activities were inaugurated by Shri HashimpeerWalikar “State president of human rights commission”. He spoke at the length of the activities of NSS volunteers in the day today life activities. Later, C.M. Addaki principle of B.D Jatti College of education was chief guest who encouraged NSS volunteers to provide services for the development of Nation. The president of the function , our beloved Principal of Anjuman Degree College DrZ.S.Qureshi sir motivated NSS volunteers to render the services as and when needed.

The day ended with cultural activities.

After yoga, the next day after shramdan there was campus cleaning under the guidance of NSS programme officers. Later, Dr S.T Merwade principal of BLDE’s Arts, Commerce Basaveshwara college of BasavanaBagewadi spoke on the importance of higher education. After him,Dr Yusuf Choudhary (BDS) social worker, orator spoke on the impact of present situation on youths.

The next day after yoga Shri A.K Bagwan stressed on the “Why to vote”?

On the same day rally was organised on HIV and its prevention which was taken out in the surrounding areas.

The next day free eye check up camp was organised in collaboration with Anugraha Eye Hospital Vijaypur, in which 150 people got benefited. On the same day NSS volunteer presented their views on the topic” Role of youth in rural reconstruction”Or”Youth for National integration and social harmony”

The next day all NSS volunteers after shramdan went to nearby government school for swachata under the guidance of NSS programme officers after returning cultural activities started in which all volunteers exhibited their talent. NSS Volunteers’ brought awareness on PREVENTION OF HIV,AIDS”  by performing NukkadNataka among the people of the areas at AfzalpurTakke

On the sixth day of camp DrSurendra Kumar sir gave basic knowledge of first aid. Every day in the cultural activities all the volunteers exhibited the immense talent, had nutritious breakfast and healthy lunch which boosted power energy to perform better. Camp fire on 6th days was conducted where all the Volunteers , Program Officers and other staff participated in Deepotsava and sang NSS & Patriotic songs. It was really an illuminating night.

We are very fortunate to be a part of NSS here, we got an opportunity to develop our all personality &we also got the ideas to provide selfless services and keeping us the motto of NSS, “Not me but You“. Jai Hind.

NSS Foundation Day Celebration

The NSS units of our college celebrated NSS Foundation Day on 24th September 2020. . The programme began with the welcome of the worthy guest, faculty members and students of the college.
The genesis, aims and objectives and the significance of NSS was outlined by Dr.A.N.Chattarki, Principal of our college. He highlighted the importance of overall personality development of the students by enrolling in NSS. NSS is one of the best platforms for providing services to the community, building leadership qualities and adjust oneself to limited facilities. To initiate the occasion, Miss.Sadiya Patwegar recited Versa of Holy Quran, Kumar.Hassan Patel and group sang the NSS song, Kumar Umair Mantri proposed the vote of thanks.Miss.Arshiya Guradi was the program convenor, NSS Programme Officer Dr.Ruqqia.R.H guided the volunteers, college staff graced the occasion.
